On March 23rd, we were in Sydney at the Sydney Fish Market, one of the most popular destinations lately. Our spot was Hamsi Taverna; Time Magazine didn’t include it in its “most iconic places” list for nothing, the atmosphere is truly unique. Luckily, the weather was also lovely; the rain took a break and we enjoyed Sydney under a bright, sunny sky.
Somer Sivrioğlu and his team had prepared such a menu that when we saw those juicy hamburgers and incredibly fresh fish on the table, we were instantly transported back to Istanbul. Everything was perfect. Combined with the DJ performance, the energy of the atmosphere increased even more; at those moments, we were reminded again why we love this job so much and how good it makes us to come together.
The best part of the evening was the energy of our students. Listening to each of them talk about their determination in Australia, their efforts to stand on their own two feet, and what they have accomplished was invaluable to us. Witnessing their growth and knowing that we are by their side on this journey truly makes us happy.
