Basic Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the New Zealand Working Holiday Visa, you must:

• Be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye

• Be aged between 18 and 30

• Have never held a New Zealand Working Holiday Visa before

• Apply from outside of New Zealand

• Have at least NZD 7,000 in personal savings to cover living expenses

• Have valid health insurance for the entire duration of your stay

• Be a 4 years university graduate

• Applicants must hold a passport that is valid for at least 15 months from the date of entry.

• Meet the English language requirement, either by:

  • The New Zealand Immigration Office now provides a specific list for this exemption. 

    Ankara: Bilkent, Çankaya, METU.

    Istanbul: Galatasaray, Boğaziçi, Istanbul Şehir, Istanbul Arel, Koç, Özyeğin, Sabancı, Istanbul, Yeditepe, Yıldız Teknik.

    Izmir: İYTE, Yaşar University.

    Other: Balıkesir University.

  • In addition to IELTS (minimum 4.5) and PTE Academic (minimum 30), the current list also accepts TOEFL iBT (minimum 32), Cambridge English B2 First (minimum 147), and OET (Grade C).
