STUDENT VISAS

The visa application for international students who want to study in the UK is divided into different categories depending on the study duration and the program type. At HUB EDU, we are with you at every stage of your visa process and guide you to ensure your application goes smoothly!

Student visa applications in the UK are divided into three main categories depending on the duration of study:

1. Visitor Visa – Study for up to 6 months

1. Who Can Apply? Students who will attend language courses of less than 6 months or short-term academic programs.
2. Important Information:
   1. This type of visa is non-extendable and does not grant a work permit.
   2. Applications are usually finalised within 3 weeks.
   3. Taking out private health insurance for the duration of your stay in the UK is advisable.

2. Short-Term Student Visa – 6-11 Months Education

Who Can Apply? Students who will attend language courses lasting between 6-11 months.

1. Important Information:
   1. This type of visa is non-extendable and does not grant a work permit.
   2. The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) fee must be paid at the time of application  (approximately GBP 1000).

Applications are usually finalised within 3 weeks.

1. Who Can Apply? Students who will study a bachelor's, master's degree or long-term language study.
2. Important Information:
   1. It provides a work permit for up to 20 hours per week.
   2. It can be extended depending on the duration of training.
   3. A Certificate of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) is required for application.
   4. Proof of English language proficiency (usually IELTS with UKVI).

The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) fee must be paid.

1. Application Form and Appointment via VFS Global

The student visa application form is completed through the UKVI system as a first step. Then,  a fingerprint appointment is booked through VFS Global.

1. A separate application account is opened for each applicant.
2. Once the application is complete, documents can be uploaded through VFS Global.
3. After the fingerprint appointment date is taken, you can upload the documents to the system until the appointment time.

2. Application Center and Appointment Procedures

Applications are made through VFS Global. Application centres:

1. Cities where free appointments can be made: Ankara, Istanbul.

Cities with paid appointments: Izmir, Adana, Antalya (Appointment fee 76.5 GBP).

3. Fast Transaction Options

If you want your visa application to be processed faster,  you can take advantage of the additional services offered by VFS Global:

1. Prime Time Appointment (Erken Randevu):
   1.  By paying 120 GBP,  you can book an appointment outside of opening hours and the next day.
2. Priority Visa Service:
   1.  With a payment of 500 GBP, your application will be processed within five working days.

4. Finalization Process and Visa Decision

1. Visa applications are usually finalised within 3 weeks.
2. Once your visa is approved, you can get your passport and make your travel plans.

Students with a Tier 4 (Student Visa) can work up to 20 hours per week during their studies.

You must submit a complete file during the application process. Required documents:

✅ Valid Passport
✅ Certificate of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) – (for Tier 4 visa)
✅ Bank Statement – Financial proof
✅  showing that the student can cover their expenses IELTS UKVI or other accepted proof of English proficiency – (for Tier 4 visa)
✅ Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) payment receipt
✅ Accommodation Information and Itinerary
✅ Application Form and Receipt of Payment of Visa Fee

Important Notes About UK Student Visa

🔹 Submit your application early: The visa process can take longer than 3 weeks during peak periods, so it is recommended that you complete your application at least 2-3 months in advance.
🔹 Demonstrate your financial ability correctly: When applying for student visas, the UK government requires students to prove they can afford their education and living expenses.
🔹 CAS Certificate is essential: You cannot apply for a Tier 4 visa without obtaining a CAS certificate.
